5 top challenges to help you reach your fitness goals….

If you are running the Manchester Marathon today, or any endurance event for that matter, then the likelihood is you will have put in months, if not years, of hard work. So what next? Where do you go from here? Or do you just stop now?

Sometimes the most important thing in fitness is to start with the end in mind. What is your goal? What is the challenge? set it for yourself. Be realistic but challenge yourself. For many who run a marathon they will be able to cast their mind back to a point where their first training run was 2 to 3 miles and the end goal seemed totally out of touch.

Soon after progress fuels our outlook and we become optimistic, the mileage increases and sub-consciously our massive challenge is being reached through small steps progress.

It is the same with any fitness goal; set yourself the challenge, MOST IMPORTANTLY COMMIT TOIT and work-back. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is just say “yes” and click the ‘sign up’ tab of the next event, the next race or the next challenge.

What will your next challenge be? A 10k road race? Sponsored walk? Targeted weight loss? Here are 5 top events to give you some ideas:
