How many pull-ups can you do in a minute? Spartan Race competitors vied for bragging rights.

5 reasons you should be doing Pull Ups….

If you don’t do Pull Ups you should! They are an easy and hugely beneficial exercise method that will get you results. Here are 5 reasons that YOU should include Pull Ups in your weekly workout plan….

  1. Fat Loss

Pull Ups really increase your heart rate and therefore burn fat. They will also burn fat in places that other, more aerobic ways of fat burning, wouldn’t. Think about how shredded a climber is! To increase fat loss decrease the time between pull up sets.

  1. It’s a Compound Exercise

Look at Pull Ups like squatting – they are both compact exercises that lead to huge growth. Pull Ups will grow your upper body more than other exercises

  1. You can control the intensity

We all know that increasing intensity is important. It is very easy to do this with a Pull Up. It is also a hugely convenient exercise to do.

  1. Grip!!!

Pull Ups increase your grip strength massively; if you want to be a body builder then you need a good grip – 2 birds, one stone!

  1. Variations

You can vary your Pull Up technique to hone in on specific muscle groups. This allows you to improve your all over physique by working these different muscle groups.

If you are unsure on how to do a Oull Up then please speak to one of our Personal Trainers in the gym. Technique is important. There is also a Handy Guide here from our friends at BodyBuilding.com.
