Workout Tips – 5 tips for better buttocks!

Since the advent of Twerking the world has gone mad for bottoms!! So what can you do to help yourself get a firmer, and more rounded, bottom?

  1. Don’t sit on it!!!

The first thing to say, is quite an obvious one. Don’t sit on it. The more active you are the more you are using all the muscles that connect to your Gluteus Maximus. In the modern workplace many people have desks that allow them to stand and will be encouraged to go for drinks breaks. Move around as much as you can, and of course, take the stairs!

  1. Brush your teeth

We brush our teeth for 5 to 7 minutes a day. Why not use this time more effectively? Try a regular squat or a one legged squat (please be careful) whilst brushing your teeth. The motion of brushing your teeth means you engage your core more as well and subsequently perform ‘good’ squats. Two birds, one stone!

  1. Use weights

Of course squatting whilst brushing your teeth will help but you need to introduce weights to really define that bum! By using weights you will also burn more calories, which will help you trim up, and you will naturally focus on your core again. This will help you gain a flat stomach.

  1. Take it slow

People like to get their squats done and then get out of there. DON’T. Squats should be a slow and controlled movement. When you get to the bottom of the squat you should try and hold it for 30 seconds before a slow and controlled raise.

  1. Do Cardio

Make sure you are doing at least 30 minutes of cardio a day. It is simply the best way of trimming fat, and to boot, using those leg muscles. These leg muscles ultimately connect to the three main Gluteus muscles in your bottom and give them a good workout too.
