Emily Harvey PT. Experience that drives client success.

Emily Harvey is the latest member of i-motion Rotherham. Emily has vast experience in the fitness industry and has also been through her own Transformation. We caught up with Emily to find out more….

So Emily, what is your fitness philosophy?

“I am passionate about health and lifestyle adaptions, whilst making it fun to exercise and enjoy life, in a balanced manor. Some people think that isn’t possible but it really is. Training is about strengthening from the inside-out and creating healthy habits.

I am a big believer that with the right mind set and support you can achieve anything you aspire to achieve, being health changes, lose/gain weight or muscle, or even a more personal goal. The focus really helps us mentally too”

Tell us about your personal fitness journey?

“I have recently performed my own 12-month transformation, it has taken a lot of discipline, drive and motivation to keep on track but it is achievable.

By breaking down the big goal into small targets, and with your own will power and belief, it is amazing what you can achieve. I use this experience to push my clients where necessary but also to support them when needed too. They often find that they undervalue their own power; it is amazing to see a client turn that corner of understanding.

Wow, that sounds amazing, giving them that understanding is a tool for life. So what is your approach?

“I focus a lot around weight training, hypertrophy style training, as there is a myth that it makes women big and masculine, weight training is great for creating confidence, strength (mentally and physically) and creating shape for both men and women! I work with individuals as individuals, and that is really important, there is nothing I hate more than seeing people put through the same fitness programs. This isn’t a one size fits all scenario!”

So what are your key areas of Knowledge?

“Nutrition planning , Training programs, Weight loss/Muscle gain, Hypertrophy, Bodybuilding and Muscular endurance. It all depends on the client I work with and their fitness targets.”
