Summer Fitness Fair at i-Motion Rotherham. What’s Happening When?
It’s nearly here! The i-Motion Rotherham Summer Fitness Fair is set to take place this coming weekend, Saturday 25th- Monday 27th.
To increase levels of anticipation ahead of this weekend, we thought it would be a good idea to give you a full rundown of the events happening at the fair.
It’s free to train all day on Saturday! Our Saturday classes will be running as normal but with spaces left available for non-members to take part. You can see Saturday’s classes on our timetable online.
I-Motion Games (all day)
Power Lifting Event: Deadlift, Squat and Bench Press. The highest total score from these three lifts will win free gym membership for 3 months.
Team Rower Challenge: 2 people, 1 rower, 15 mins. The pair who covers the furthest distance will win 1 month free each.
Indoor Triathlon: Comprising of a 6km Watt Bike, 4km Row and 2km Ski Erg. The fastest time will win 3 months free gym membership.
Kids Club (12.00- 14.00)
Come and train with us and our trained staff will watch the kids and even wear them out for you. We have two teachers on hand to look after your little ones while you smash your workout, they will be entertained with fitness games, disco, dancing and loads more.
Outdoor Bootcamp (13.00- 14.00)
Starting in Summer we are introducing a new Outdoor Bootcamp class into our timetable. This weekend is your opportunity to be one the very first people to experience this new class; designed to push you to the edge, working every part of the body and challenging muscles you never knew you had.
Live DJ (18:00-21.00)
Whether you fancy a late night gym session or just a fun evening with a live DJ, you can come by and enjoy our late night opening.
SUNDAY 26th (10:00 – 16:00)
Stalls (all day)
Inside the gym there will be up to 20 stalls, showcasing what our local community has to offer our member’s health and wellbeing.
Bouncy Castle (all day)
Outside there will be a bouncy castle for the kids to enjoy. This is a sweaty business and shows children (and adults) the fun of being active.
Bar and BBQ (11am/12pm onwards)
All just outside our gym, there will be an amazing BBQ (from 12 pm) serving great tasting, healthy options, as well as a Bar (opens 11 am) to keep you well hydrated!
MONDAY 27th (08:00 – 16:00)
No work on a Monday means more time to train. All classes will be running as normal. We are however making sure there will be spaces open for non-members to join in. We want lots of new people to come and experience what it’s like to be an I-Motion member.
Strength Workshop (12.00 – 13.00)
Learn how to execute the 3 most common weight lifting movements- squats, deadlifts and bench press. One of our most experienced coaches, Matt, will teach you how to perform these moves with perfect technique so that you can reduce the risk of injury and lift heavier!
Nutrition Workshop (14.00-15.00)
Come along and learn where you might be going wrong with your nutrition. Whether its fat loss or muscle gain, aligning your nutrition with your fitness goals, and understanding how to properly fuel your body to train effectively will make achieving the body you want much easier.
Kids Club (12:00 – 14:00)
Here is another opportunity for all you hard-working parents to spend a bit of time on yourselves!! Leave the kids to be entertained by our trained staff for an hour or two while you workout!!
And that’s it! Stalls, challenges, food, drink, and music! It promises to be a wonderful weekend; helping to spread the fitness word, and working towards the wonderful mission we have at i-Motion to get people living a healthy and active life.
